Promise Tangeman-Wurzell, founder of GoLive, is seeking a full-time Agency Manager to lead daily operations, manage the client journey, and oversee the contractor team. This role is critical in client communication, project management, and sales facilitation, ensuring every project runs smoothly from start to finish.

As Agency Manager, you’ll be the key liaison between contractors and leadership (COO and CEO), keeping the team aligned and ensuring exceptional service delivery. You’ll work directly with clients, allowing you to showcase your relationship-building skills. You will oversee project workflows, and refine internal processes to enhance productivity.

While you won’t be designing directly, a strong grasp of design principles will help you guide the creative team effectively.

Responsibilities (tasks associated with the role)

Client & Sales Management

  • Own the sales process from start to finish, ensuring a steady stream of booked projects by converting leads into clients through discovery calls and relationship-building.
  • Oversee the entire client journey, from the initial Zoom consultation to project completion, including both hourly work projects and custom website design sprints.
  • Conduct in-depth client discovery calls, gather requirements, and develop comprehensive project scopes that align with client goals.
  • Develop and present tailored proposals and pricing strategies, negotiating to close deals and maintain a full agency calendar.
  • Proactively address and resolve client concerns, ensuring smooth project execution and client satisfaction throughout the entire lifecycle.
  • Build and nurture long-term client relationships with exceptional communication and service.
  • Availability to attend in-person trips, events, and sales conferences as needed to support client relationships and business development.

Project Management

  • Track team availability and assign projects based on bandwidth and expertise to ensure efficient task delegation.
  • Oversee the creation of brands and websites for clients, including design, build, and copy processes, ensuring all team members are aligned.
  • Coordinate with designers, developers, and copywriters to ensure project timelines are met and deliverables are of the highest standard.
  • Monitor project progress and communicate updates to the team regularly to ensure everyone stays informed and on track.
  • Develop and implement project management best practices, tools, SOPs, and protocols to optimize efficiency and consistency in project delivery.

Team Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a high-performing team of contractors, including designers, copywriters, and project managers, ensuring alignment with project goals.
  • Onboard and train new contractors on client service best practices, agency processes, and project management tools.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative team environment, encouraging open communication and a shared focus on success.

Operations

  • Manage client billing, invoicing, and Dubsado workflows, ensuring smooth financial and operational processes.
  • Maintain and update systems, SOPs, and documentation for both custom services and hourly work projects to ensure clarity and consistency across the agency.

Communication & Collaboration

  • Effectively communicate project updates, client feedback, and internal progress to leadership and relevant stakeholders.
  • Collaborate closely with the marketing and operations teams to support agency goals and improve overall efficiency.
  • Maintain clear, concise documentation of all client interactions and project deliverables to ensure transparency and alignment across teams.

Requirements (expected proficiencies to excel in this role)

  • 3+ years in project management, client services, or agency operations
  • Experience in branding, web design, or digital marketing agencies
  • Strong understanding of design, brand strategy, and user experience principles
  • Familiarity with SEO best practices and high-converting websites
  • Skilled in hiring, onboarding, training, and leading remote contractor teams
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects, delegate effectively, and meet deadlines
  • Experience developing and streamlining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Strong sales, negotiation, and client relationship-building skills
  • Ability to translate client needs into clear project scopes and deliverables
  • Tech-savvy and eager to learn new platforms
  • Basic Squarespace knowledge for managing website projects
  • Understanding of domains, email setup, and Zapier for automation and integrations
  • Proficiency in Asana, Basecamp, and Dubsado (or similar CRMs)
  • Clear, responsive, and proactive communicator
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Solutions-oriented with a positive, adaptable attitude
  • Comfortable working with faith-based companies

Additional requirements:

  • Squarespace design experience
  • Available to work in US time zone
  • Available for occasional in-person trips
  • Access to a computer
  • Reliable internet connection
  • Reliable and distraction free work environment 
  • Good on camera is a plus
  • Story brand Certification is a plus

This position is NOT for someone who:

  • Lack experience in websites, digital marketing, or marketing strategy
  • Struggle with team leadership or assertive decisionmaking
  • Require micromanagement to stay on track
  • Have poor time management or do the bare minimum
  • Avoid communication or resist taking ownership of mistakes
  • Are unwilling to jump in and help where needed
  • Bring drama into the workplace
  • Are uncomfortable with a faith-based business culture
  • Cannot work overlapping hours with EST time zone

Availability Expectations

  • Check and respond to emails regularly during your scheduled workday to maintain timely communication with clients and the team.
  • Complete all assigned tasks—including client correspondence, proposals, project management, and internal operations—each day and within the set deadlines.
  • If adjustments to your work schedule are necessary, please communicate proactively and ensure that any missed hours are made up appropriately.
  • Core working hours are between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday. You may work a bit earlier or later based on workload needs, but daily availability is expected.
  • All client communication should be responded to within 24 hours during weekdays, with a focus on prompt follow-ups after sales calls and proposals.

Offer Details

This is a full-time, remote, W2 employee position.

Pay is between $60,000 - $70,000 (based on experience).
